Spanish Borrego Sheepskin
Bloodlines of the South American Borrego sheep can be traced to the introduction of very fine wooled European Merino ewes in the early 1800's and then later crossbred with the North American Rambouille Ram. The resulting breed of Borrego and the spring skins of the lamb are considered a soft, fine even-wooled quality and are uniquely suited for this line of Mill Valley's rugged wearing and lasting sheepskin coats.

Mill Valley's Borrego sheepskin coats have been tanned and finished with a wonderfully rich and endurable soft hand-rubbed leather side surface. The outside leather surface of the coat feels and wears more like a superiour top grain soft leather. This process forever renders the coat with a lifetime worry free and weather resistant leather side. The leather side is somewhat thicker than purebred Merino sheep, and Mill Valley considers this choice ideal for it's extra durability for years of active wear. Like all quality leather, the Borrego leather surface ages and wears in desirably well with each season's adventure.

The wool side of the Borrego spring lamb is considered fine quality. Thin Micro diameter with a slight crimping in the wool fur results in a naturally warm and comfortable interior that will actually take the shape of an individual's body. Really a wonderful choice for a warm run around winter streetwear coat that can endure and las most anything a city lifestyle might demand- subways, buses, trains, elevators or campus life.
