One of the final steps at the tannery in dressing a shearling skin is the final wool finish. One process is called snowtopping or Brissa wool finish, where a final color is applied to the woolside of a shearling skin and then a different shade of color (typically a grey or faint silver) is applied only to the very tips of the wool to render a desired look of luster and sheen. |
